Dental Lab Technician
Duties and Responsibilities: A Dental Lab Technician does not really have a
primary relation with the patients. “They work directly with dentists by
following detailed written instructions and using impressions (molds) of the
patient's teeth or oral soft tissues to create instruments for mouth for
example dentures, removable partial dentures or fixed bridges…”
Salary:$42,000 per year.
Education: “Dental
laboratory technicians may receive their education and training through a
two-year program at a community college, vocational school, technical college,
university or dental school. Graduates of these programs receive either an
associate degree or a certificate. There also are a few programs that offer a
four-year baccalaureate program in dental technology.”
I would not like to be one
because I don’t like dentists and I don’t
like either the fact that I wouldn’t be the one whom works with the patient by
first hand.
